Biography
Prince Gofern was a male a noble of the planet Laxidazia, and something of a fool thanks to inbreeding. His sole talent was an ability to paint empty starscapes. Gofern became the lecherous and irrepressible scoundrel known as Pip the Troll after partying with a group of degenerate "trolls," and drinking large amounts of one of their mutagenic beverages. Banished from his home, he wandered the galaxy, and eventually joined Adam Warlock's entourage.
He was slain by Thanos, but Warlock absorbed Pip's soul into his Soul Gem- during the Infinity Gauntlet crisis, he was resurrected into the body of a car crash victim. When Warlock created the Infinity Watch, Pip was granted ownership of the Space Gem, and relished using its powers. He kept it ensconced between his toes.
He was at an alien bar where he came to learn of the quest of Beta Ray Bill who was looking to reclaim his lost power. Pip joined him and Skurge as they looked to travel into Muspelheim in order to claim the Twilight Sword of Surtur. Onboard the Skuttlebutt, they travelled through the Stygian Gate into Muspelheim where they crashed onto its infernal landscape. (Beta Ray Bill v1 #2)
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Pip the Troll was a male Laxidazian that was a short, squat, and heavily stunted humanoid alien creature with distinctly exaggerated satyr-like biological features. He possessed a dense, compact body covered in wrinkled, peach-toned skin, featuring a completely bare, hairless chest and thick limbs. His oversized head sported a highly expressive face with a large bulbous nose, deep-set pink eyes, and a wide, mischievous mouth framed by a mop of unkempt, shaggy brown hair. His ears were exceptionally large, long, and sharply pointed, extending dramatically outward from the sides of his skull. Unlike standard humans or normal Laxidazians, his upper limbs extended into heavy hands that featured exactly four distinct digits on each hand, including an opposable thumb, while his lower limbs completely lacked standard human feet, tapering down instead into a pair of solid, split cloven hooves. He wore a highly minimal, weathered civilian outfit consisting exclusively of a pair of loose, heavily torn maroon trousers fastened around his waist, leaving his torso, hands, and hooves entirely exposed. Powers and abilities
Pip the Troll belonged to the Laxidazian race and existed in a permanently mutated sub-state known as a Troll, which naturally granted him the biological traits of a highly durable, dense physical constitution and a vastly enhanced cosmic metabolism capable of withstanding extreme alien elements. His unique physiological mutation provided his internal organs with an absolute, hyper-advanced resistance to highly concentrated toxic substances, allowing him to ingest lethal amounts of mutagenic hallucinogenic ale and celestial liquors without suffering systemic poisoning or cellular collapse. He did not possess direct innate superhuman strength, organic energy manipulation, or standard cosmic flight capabilities in his baseline state, relying instead on his cunning survival instincts, underhanded street smarts, and high verbal agility to navigate hostile environments. His primary capabilities allowed him to seamlessly blend into underground space-port networks, slip past complex security protocols unnoticed due to his diminutive size, and successfully establish crucial alliances with powerful cosmic entities across the deep space quadrants. Pip lost the Space Gem to Rune, but his lengthy exposure to it left him with its teleportational abilities.
