Biography
Nobara Kugisaki (Japanese: 釘くぎ崎さき野の薔ば薇ら, Hepburn: Kugisaki Nobara?) was a female human born on August 7th, 2002 in Japan. When Nobara was in first grade she became friends with a girl named Fumi. During the first grade, she met a girl named Saori who moved from Tokyo to their village. Nobara was shown to had idolised her but the villagers often ostracised the girl for being an outsider. During this time, she and Saori became friends with the latter making treats that Kugisaki had never tried before. Eventually, the hatred of the villagers drove Saori's family out with this disgusting Nobara with this leading to her resolve to leaving for Tokyo one day to find her friend one day.
She then travelled from Morioka to Tokyo by train where at Harajuku she came to meet with Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro and Yuji Itadori. Gojo then told them that they would be heading to Roppongi. At first, both Nobara and Yuji were happy about but they were soon disappointed when they found out that it was for a mission. Gojo told Nobara and Yuji that they would handle this mission alone since it was be a test to see what they were capable of. Nobara and Yuji then headed into the building. Nobara suggested that they split up, which Yuji disagreed with but Nobara did not care and instead headed upward in the building whilst Yuji takes care of the lower floors. While searching the upper floors, Nobara found a cursed spirit that had disguised itself as a mannequin and uses her cursed technique to exorcise it. Suddenly, Nobara heard a noise and noticed a child in the corner. Nobara tries to have the child come with her but he would not move. Nobara planned on getting Yuji to help her, but a cursed spirit suddenly appeared and took the child hostage. Nobara thought about her next course of action but ultimately decided to drop her hammer and nail in order to get the spirit to let the child go. Suddenly, Yuji burst through the wall and saved the child by cutting off the spirit's arm. As the spirit tried to escape, Nobara used her Resonance on the spirit's severed arm to exorcise it thus completing the mission.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Nobara Kugisaki was a short girl with a slim figure who had mid-length orange hair that reached to her neck and styled with bangs that covered the left side of her forehead. She was shown as having orange eyes, long eye-lashes with thin eyebrows of the same color.
She was shown as being a confident and brash young woman who had an unshakable character. Kugisaki had said that she was determined to stay true to herself no matter the circumstances. She took great pride being being both a pretty girl and a strong fighter.
Nobara had always been an outspoken person who was different from everyone else in her small town.
Powers and abilities
Nobara Kugisaki was born a human though one with the ability to perceive and manipulate Cursed Energy (呪じゅ力りょく Juryoku?). Kugisaki was shown to hold an incredibly high pain tolerance threshold that allowed her to endure debilitating amounts of pain and continue fighting with little to no struggle. In time, she was able to manipulate Cursed Energy allowing her to become a Jujutsu Sorcerers (呪じゅ術じゅつ師し Jujutsushi?). Nobara had high reserves of cursed energy and is an expert on manipulating it. Nobara's nails are constantly being imbued with her cursed energy, allowing her to levitate them for easy hammering. She can even use cursed techniques to expand the cursed energy that surrounds them. She has done so repeatedly on several occasions without showing any signs of exhausting her cursed energy supply. After unleashing Black Flash, Nobara's cursed energy and her understanding increased dramatically. Since tapping into the core of cursed energy, Nobara has tried to recreate that feeling in order to reach her potential.
Nobara had shown numerous times the ability to contend with jujutsu users ranked leagues above in terms of grade. Coming into school, Nobara had a solid understanding of how to exorcise curses with her innate technique. She also had the mental fortitude to handle the job but lacked physical ability. While fighting in the Eishu Detention Center, Nobara defended herself adequately until she ran out of nails to fight with.
Afterwards, she came to go under Maki' wing who began training Nobara to improve her physical prowess. This included training in heavy stamina conditioning and getting used to being knocked down. Over time, she was shown to had become a much better close-combat fighter as a result.
She came to ranked as grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer by Jujutsu High. Nobara was shown as having high reserves of cursed energy with her being an expert in manipulating it. It was shown that she imbued her nails with cursed allowing her to manipulate them such as causing them to levitate them for easy hammering.
Among the techniques known to her included:
- Black Flash (黒閃 Kokusen?) :
- Straw Doll Technique (芻霊呪法 Sūrei Juhō?) : a technique that made use of her tool set including her hammer, nails, and a straw doll. She channelled her cursed energy through them in order to enact a number of techniques such as sharing the damage done to the straw doll and her target. To accomplish this, she required some item linked to her target such as a hair which she embedded in her doll to enact the technique.
- Resonance (共鳴り Tomonari?) : the application of cursed energy to her target using a straw doll as an effigy. She could use a severed body part of her target to establish a link to attack the more critical appendages of her target's body. Upon activation, Resonance caused large black spikes to protrude from the target's chest.
- Hairpin (簪 Kanzashi?) : a technique that caused the cursed energy in her nails to erupt with explosive force. This caused the shroud of cursed energy around the nails to expand until the point of detonation dealing critical damage to her target.
She also maintained a red rubber mallet that she could use to attack humans in cases when she did not want to kill her opponent.
Upon becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer, she left her village for the city in order to enrol at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School (東とう京きょう都と立りつ呪じゅ術じゅつ高こう等とう専せん門もん学がっ校こう Tōkyō Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō?, lit. "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College").
