Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 in Edge of Spider-Verse v1 #2.

Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy was a female human born as the daughter of George Stacy on Earth-65 in the Multiverse. (Edge of Spider-Verse v1 #2)

Over time, she developed a friendship with her neighbor and fellow introvert Peter Parker, sharing their love for music. (Spider-Gwen v2 #1)

At Midtown High School, Gwen developed relationships with other students which included a group of girls with whom she formed the band, The Mary Janes. (Edge of Spider-Verse v1 #2) It was around this time that she came to meet a rebellious affluent student named Harry Osborn. (Spider-Gwen v2 #4)

After being bitten by a genetically-engineered spider, Gwen was granted arachnid-like super-powers whereupon she started a career as a crimefighter dubbed by the media as Spider-Woman. She was given a costume and a set of web-shooters by retired crimefighter named Janet van Dyne. During this time, Gwen spent most of her early adventures focused on exploiting and maintaining her newfound attention more than helping those in need; however, Gwen's behavior changed after her father expressed he believed Spider-Woman could easily help people. It was during this time that the biggest tragedy of her life came to affect her when her close friend Peter Parker who suffered from constant bullying decided on extreme measures. Wanting to be special like his idol Spider-Woman, he began to conduct genetic experiments on himself which transformed him into a monstrous lizard-like creature that went on a rampage at Midtown High's Senior Prom. This led to a confrontation with Gwen who was forced to enter into the fight as Spider-Woman. Despite her pleas for the creature to stop, Gwen did not restrain her full strength and came to beat down her opponent. This led to the Lizard being badly injured and dying from the injuries sustained by Spider-Woman where at that point he reverted to his human form as Peter Parker much to the surprise of Stacy whose best friend died in her arms seemingly at her own hands. (Spider-Gwen v2 #3)

After Parker's death, Spider-Woman was believed to be responsible for the youth's death with this being pushed by J. Jonah Jameson. This led to the authorities attempting to arrest her for murder making her a wanted fugitive. (Edge of Spider-Verse v1 #2) With no evidence or link to his transformation, Spider-Woman was blamed by the media for Peter's death and branded a criminal. (Spider-Gwen v2 #9) Her father NYPD Chief George Stacy was given the task of hunting down the fugitive Spider-Woman where he was aided by Captain Frank Castle and Detective Jean DeWolff. During a later confrontation with her father, Gwen decided to reveals her true identity to him thus shocking him where Captain Stacy told his daughter to run to avoid getting arrested. (Edge of Spider-Verse v1 #2)

The Gwen of Earth-65 was one of many other Spider-Totems from across the Multiverse that came to be recruited to fight against the vampiric Morlun and the Inheritors. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #9)

Though there were several people called Spider-Women among the group, she seemed to be the only Spider who was also Gwen Stacy. This led to her gaining the nickname Spider-Gwen. During this time, Gwen came to realize that most of her counterparts in other universes were dead which included the Earth-616 Gwen Stacy who was the first love of Peter Parker, leader of the group fighting the Inheritors. During a talk with him, she would tell Peter that she likewise failed to save her version of him where they both agreed to look out for each other. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #11)

Gwen later returned to her reality, where she still tried to turn the public opinion against her by becoming a vigilante. With the appearance of a new villain named the Vulture, Gwen set out to catch him and deliver him to the police in order to gain their trust. However, her vigilantism strained her friendship with Mary Jane Watson and the other members of her band, as well as with her father. (Spider-Gwen v1 #1) After her first fight with the Vulture ended in a humiliating defeat, Gwen learned that her father had lost jurisdiction of the manhunt for her which had since been reassigned to Frank Castle who was a maverick police officer known for his brutal measures. An argument with her father was interrupted by the Vulture, who had been sent to find Spider-Woman by Murdock. Incapacitated by the Vulture's gas fumes, she was attacked by Castle, who managed to unmask her and was shocked to discover she was just a teenaged girl. (Spider-Gwen v1 #3)

When a gig the Mary Janes was headlining was attacked by the Hand, Spider-Gwen broke up a fight between Black Cat and Murdock, who had taken a keen interest in making Spider-Woman his apprentice and figured out her civilian identity by watching her fight and targeting her family. (Spider-Gwen v1 #5)

With the destruction of the universe, an amnesiac Gwen found herself on Earth-15513 under the assumed alias of Ms. Woodley, an employee of Ozcorp. Teaming up with the Peter Porker of Earth-8311, the Anya Corazon of Earth-616, the William Braddock of Earth-833, the Pavitr Prabhakar of Earth-50101, and the Peter Parker of Earth-90214, Gwen managed to overthrow Mayor Norman Osborn and stop him from hijacking control of the Web of Life and Destiny. Spider-Woman in Spider-Gwen v2 #1.

Gwen Stacy spent her day oscillating between the mundane frustrations of her civilian life and the chaotic responsibilities of being Spider-Woman. She patrolled the city, eventually tracking down and apprehending the Bodega Bandit, though the encounter felt routine compared to the growing tension in her personal life. While attempting to reconnect with her bandmates in The Mary Janes, she struggled with the distance her secret identity created between them. The day took a jarring turn when she discovered a new reptilian threat lurking in the city, an encounter that shook her to her core as it mirrored the tragedy of Peter Parker’s transformation. Meanwhile, she dodged the persistent pursuit of the NYPD and felt the weight of her father’s silent concern, all while the shadow of Matt Murdock’s influence loomed over the department. By the time she encountered Harry Osborn, Gwen was left reeling from the realization that the past she thought was buried had begun to resurface in dangerous, scaly forms. (Spider-Gwen v2 #1) Gwen Stacy reeled from her encounter with a new Lizard creature, a discovery that forced her to confront the painful memories of Peter Parker’s death. She sought answers by visiting Harry Osborn, who had returned to the city after a long absence, only to find their reunion charged with unspoken tension and shared grief. As she investigated the sewer systems to track the reptilian threat, she found herself cornered by Captain Frank Castle, who pursued her with a relentless, brutal determination that far exceeded standard police protocol. Their violent clash left Gwen physically battered and struggling to escape his tactical prowess. Amidst the chaos of the hunt, she grappled with the terrifying possibility that more than one person had access to the transformative Lizard formula. By the time she managed to retreat, Gwen realized that her past and present were colliding, as Harry’s arrival and Castle's obsession turned her sanctuary into a battlefield. (Spider-Gwen v2 #2)

Ghost-Spider

Gwen Stacy navigated the strange isolation of her new reality, having recently revealed her secret identity to the world and served time in prison. She attempted to reintegrate into society, but found herself constantly watched and judged by a public that knew exactly who she was. Seeking a fresh start and a way to continue her education without the constant harassment of her home dimension, she travelled to Earth-616 to enrol in Empire State University under the pseudonym Gwen Sands with some help from that reality's Peter Parker. She spent her day moving between worlds, balancing her life as a famous ex-convict on Earth-65 with the anonymity of a student in a universe where the 'real' Gwen Stacy had long been dead. While exploring the campus, she met Peter Parker, experiencing the bittersweet sting of seeing a version of the friend she had lost. However, her attempt at a quiet life was quickly interrupted when she sensed a disturbance and sprang into action, donning her suit to intervene in a superhuman conflict. She fought alongside the local heroes, proving her mettle in a world that didn't know her, even as she struggled with the moral complexity of 'borrowing' a life that was not hers. By the end of the day, she retreated back to her own Earth, exhausted by the duality of being a pariah in one world and a ghost in another. (Ghost-Spider v1 #1)

Gwenom Vs. Carnage

Gwen vs. Mary Jane in King in Black: Gwenom Vs. Carnage v1 #3.

Gwen Stacy struggled to maintain control over her symbiotic suit as the dark influence of Knull swept across the city, threatening to override her will. She felt the mental pull of the Giver, but her focus shifted violently when she encountered a twisted, symbiotic version of Mary Jane Watson, who had been transformed into a lethal Carnage creature. Gwen engaged in a brutal, high-stakes battle across the rooftops, realizing that her friend’s consciousness was buried beneath the blood-red spiral of the symbiote. She utilized her sonic webbing and the raw strength of Gwenom to trade blows, desperate to subdue the creature without causing permanent harm to Mary Jane. Throughout the fight, Gwen grappled with the predatory instincts of her own suit, which hungered to consume the rival symbiote. Despite the overwhelming chaos of the global invasion, she refused to abandon her friend, eventually managing to pin Mary Jane down and attempt a risky psychic connection to break the hive mind's hold. The confrontation left Gwen physically exhausted and emotionally shattered, as she realized the King in Black's reach had corrupted the one person she fought hardest to protect. Throughout the encounter, she struggled to reconcile her identity with the existence of these genetically engineered clones, who seemed specifically designed to ruin her reputation. The battle pushed her to her physical limits as she navigated a barrage of sonic attacks and razor-sharp wings, eventually forcing her to retreat to regroup and strategise. She spent her time balancing the high-energy performances on stage with the clandestine duties of Spider-Woman, frequently slipping away from soundchecks and tour buses to patrol the unfamiliar streets of Los Angeles. During a stop in the city, she intervened in a high-speed chase and found herself entangled in a confrontation with a group of enhanced criminals known as the Hulk-Gang. Gwen utilized her agility and web-slinging to navigate the destructive wake of the gang, eventually crossing paths with a disgruntled, world-weary version of Bruce Banner. She attempted to de-escalate a volatile situation involving a massive, gamma-irradiated threat, all while trying to keep her bandmates from discovering her frequent disappearances. All-New Ghost Spider

Moving to Earth-616 in Spider-Gwen: The Ghost Spider v1 #1.

Throughout her patrol, she grappled with a profound sense of displacement, feeling like an intruder in a reality where her face was associated with a legendary tragedy. Her internal conflict intensified when she encountered the local Spider-Man, leading to a tense and emotionally charged conversation about her place in this universe. Despite the awkwardness of their meeting, Gwen remained committed to her role, eventually tracking a mysterious energy signature that suggested her presence in this world was causing unforeseen ripple effects. By the end of the day, she retreated to a modest apartment, weary from the mental toll of being a living ghost in a foreign land. (Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider v1 #1) Gwen Stacy spent her morning recovering in her apartment after being pulled from the river by a mysterious rescuer following a brutal encounter on the George Washington Bridge. She was quickly confronted by Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Cindy Moon, who questioned her secretive presence in their universe, though Gwen refused to divulge the details of her mission. After her friends departed, she received a cryptic package containing the very knife that had stabbed her, which led her to a high-stakes confrontation with Kraven the Hunter. During their intense struggle, Gwen's sharp instincts allowed her to see through her opponent's deception, and she forcibly unmasked him to reveal that he was actually the Chameleon in disguise. The shapeshifter taunted her with the knowledge of her 'Ghost-Spider' status and the tragic history of the bridge where they stood, nearly overwhelming her before she managed to fight him off. By the end of the day, Gwen stood alone on the docks, realizing that she was being targeted by an enemy who knew her multiversal secrets better than she did. (Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider v1 #2)
