Biography

Thel 'Vadamee was a male Sangheili from his homeworld of Sanghelios who joined the military forces of the Covenant.

Near the mid-26th century, he was noted to had become a minor functionary of the Prophet of Regret. First confirmed contact with mankind came in 2535 on an unofficial human colony known as the Rubble. Spartan Unit 006, Unit 111 and Unit 120 was noted to had gathered first intelligence for the United Nations Space Command on 'Vadamee. Spartan 006 engaged the Elite in combat on the Rubble and survived the encounter. Sometime afterwards, Thel 'Vadamee had ascended to command of the newly formed Fleet of Particular Justice that initially consisted of five ships but quickly grew to sixty ships. During the war with the UNSC, 'Vadamee commanded these forces as they cut a path through various human systems. Due to the skill of the Elite commander, the Office of Naval Intelligence attempted to keep a track of 'Vadamee's movements at the cost of numerous operatives lives. Thel 'Vadamee managed to avoid all of ONI's efforts and continued forward with his unpredictable campaign against mankind.

In 2535, the Covenant came to discover the location of the planet Camber that was a major human manufacturing world. This saw 'Vadamee being dispatched to destroy the planet where he headed the Fleet of Particular Justice which managed to penetrate the early warning perimeter without alerting UNSC forces. Thel 'Vadamee conducted an orbital assault before most of the planet was even aware of the attack. He then personally led an attack against the system headquarters and engaged the 3rd Battalion Reserves who were completely unprepared for the strike against them. Despite having the advantage, 'Vadamee ordered his troops to wait until the human soldiers had prepared to defend themselves in order for them to be slain in honourable combat with the entire battalion being wiped out in the process.

With the destruction of Halo, 'Vadamee surrendered himself to the Covenant in order to face judgement before the Prophets for his failure in stopping the humans from destroying the sacred ring.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Thel 'Vadamee was a male Sangheili who stood nearly eight feet tall, with amber-colored eyes and powerful, clawed fingers that sometimes made handling human weaponry difficult. When he was stripped of his rank as Supreme Commander and forced to become the Arbiter, he was clad in a unique, archaic, and somewhat outdated suit of ceremonial armor that was meant to symbolize a badge of shame and a death sentence. This armor was a dull, grayish-silver color and lacked the energy shielding typical of standard Sangheili combat harnesses at the time, although it did have a functional, albeit basic, active camouflage system. A notable feature was that in his initial Arbiter form, his mandibles were exposed, as the armor's helmet did not include mandible guards.

He stood apart from other Covenant commanders for how frequently he took a personal role during ground assaults.

Thel 'Vadamee believed in honour and was known to delay attacks in order to allow his enemies to gather their weapons so that they could fight in honourable combat.

Powers and abilities

Thel 'Vadamee was a Sangheili an imposing reptilian/mammalian bipedal species from the planet Sanghelios. On a physical level, being an Elite meant he possessed a body forged for combat, characterized by immense stature—often reaching well over seven feet tall—and powerful, muscular limbs. Their unique facial structure featured four distinct mandibles surrounding their mouth, which could open to a surprising width. These mandibles were used for communication and for conveying emotion through vibration and positioning.

From birth, Elites were naturally predisposed to strength, agility, and resilience that vastly exceeded human capabilities. Their dense musculature provided them with incredible lifting and striking power, allowing them to easily overpower human soldiers in close-quarters combat. Their physiology also granted them higher pain thresholds and rapid healing capabilities. They had tough, leathery skin that varied in coloration and large, amber eyes that provided exceptional vision in low-light conditions. Their hands were powerful and clawed, evolved to grip weapons effectively and to tear through foes when necessary. These innate physical traits, combined with lifelong rigorous training in the Covenant military, made Thel 'Vadamee a formidable, natural warrior perfectly adapted to the harsh realities of galactic warfare.

He was noted to had been among the youngest to had achieved the rank of Shipmaster. His skill led to him rising to the rank of Supreme Commander of the Covenant Fleet of Particular Justice.
