Biography

He was the Executor of the Protoss and commander of the carrier Gantrithor. After refusing to exterminate all life on a Zerg-infested planet, including numerous innocent Terrans, he was judged a traitor by the Conclave. He became the target of the Judicator, Aldaris, as well as the new Executor.

Tassadar took his fleet to the Dark Templars, learning much of their ways, as well as learning much about the Overmind and its Cerebrates. He attempted to relay this information to the Conclave, but they refused to listen to a traitor who compounded his crimes by associating with their hated counterparts. Conclave forces soon battled the Dark Templars to capture Tassadar, and he soon turned himself in to end the fighting.

Fenix, another Protoss, freed Tassadar, who helped in a massive assault on the Overmind on Char. Channeling the energies of the Dark Templars into Gantrithor, Tassadar sacrifriced himself and his ship, ramming it into the Overmind and destroying it.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Tassadar was a tall Protoss, with pale, shale-colored skin possessing the typical Protoss physique, including the absence of a visible mouth and large, luminous eyes that were described as yellow or blue. As a High Templar, Tassadar's physical appearance was largely defined by his ornate, golden armor and ceremonial garb, which marked his high rank and commitment to the Khala. A prominent feature was a large crest that extended from the back of his head, and he possessed the typical long nerve cords that allowed him to link with the communal psionic consciousness of his people.

Powers and abilities

Tassadar was a Protoss, an ancient and powerful humanoid alien species. Standing at an imposing height of over seven feet, he possessed the typical physical attributes of his race: broad, powerful shoulders, a narrow waist, digitigrade legs that ended in sharp claws, and two luminous eyes set within a featureless face that lacked a mouth or ears. He sustained himself not through eating or drinking, but by absorbing ambient light through his resilient, scaly skin. Physically, the Protoss were superior to most other sentient life; they were immensely strong and fast, capable of moving with supernatural grace and enduring significant physical trauma.

Beyond these biological features, Tassadar possessed several non-psionic skills that defined his character and career. He was a master of strategy and tactics, having achieved the rank of Executor through brilliant military leadership. His mind was sharp and philosophical, allowing him to question deep-seated traditions and envision a new path for his people. While all Protoss had an innate, basic form of telepathy and communication through nerve cords connecting them to the Khala, Tassadar's true genius lay in his martial training as a Templar warrior and his capacity for revolutionary thought, skills that were entirely separate from the powerful psychic energies he would eventually master.
