Biography
Sutekh was a member of the Osiran species that were native to the planet Phaester Osiris. (Episode: Pyramid of Mars)
At some point, he was noted to had joined the ranks of the Pantheon of Discord, eventually rising through the ranks to lead this group of gods. (Episode: The Legend of Ruby Sunday)
Sutekh had been entombed in a pyramid in Saqqara in Egypt, with the Eye of Horus on Mars beaming a signal to suppress Sutekh's powers and hold him prisoner. The tales of the Osirans were remembered in Egyptian mythology, and Sutekh still retained a cult of followers, such as Ibrahim Namin. (Episode: Pyramids of Mars)
In 1911, the archaeologist Professor Marcus Scarman excavated the inner chamber of the pyramid beneath which Sutekh was imprisoned, discovering Sutekh and thereby accidentally allowing him a chance of escape. After killing him, Sutekh controlled Scarman's corpse where he compelled the vessel to act as his servant, carrying out tasks to prepare for his release from imprisonment. Through mental domination, Sutekh Sutekh’s reach extended telepathically through the Black Pyramid, controlling robotic servitors known as mummies to carry out construction and guard duties. These servants were used to eliminate those who discovered the tomb and to complete the equipment necessary to break Sutekh’s confinement. Using it and Osiran service robots to construct an Osiran war missile in an English priory aimed at the Eye of Horus on Mars. With Scarman and the Osiran mummies under his control, Sutekh directed the construction of a power relay meant to channel energy from the Eye of Horus on Mars to Earth. His voice carried through Scarman as he issued commands, but his psychic grip extended far enough to directly immobilize those who threatened him, including the Doctor. When the Doctor attempted to resist, Sutekh subjected him to unbearable telepathic pressure, demonstrating his mental superiority and cruelty. By maintaining an energy link with Scarman, Sutekh enforced obedience and even punished disloyalty with pain or death, his will absolute within the chamber of his imprisonment. As the plan neared completion, Sutekh’s power became more pronounced. He compelled Scarman and the mummies to transport a missile toward the Eye of Horus on Mars, intending to destroy it and thus release himself from his eternal bonds. The Doctor and Sarah Jane pursued the missile, with the Doctor racing to interfere with its detonation. Despite their interference, Sutekh’s commands drove Scarman to complete the activation sequence, his devotion absolute until his destruction. Sutekh’s control was so extensive that even across great distances he could influence events, demonstrating the reach of his Osiran mental faculties. His imprisonment was only maintained when the Doctor extended his journey through the time corridor, trapping Sutekh in a temporal loop that delayed his release indefinitely. (Episode: Pyramids of Mars)
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Sutekh was shown as a towering figure seated upon a throne within his subterranean chamber. His head bore the shape of a jackal, modeled after the Osiran race’s physical design, and his body was covered in dark, ornate armor-like garb that emphasized his godlike stature. His eyes glowed faintly, radiating with restrained energy that hinted at the destructive capacity he contained. (Episode: Pyramids of Mars) It was said that he was known by a number of different names and titles. (Episode: The Legend of Ruby Sunday) Marcus Scarman referred to him as the Lord of Death. (Episode: Pyramids of Mars) Meanwhile, Sutekh would identify himself as the God of Death. (Episode: The Legend of Ruby Sunday)

Powers and abilities
As an Osiran, Sutekh’s physiology endowed him with extraordinary powers. His telepathic abilities allowed him to dominate human minds, control corpses through reanimation, and project his will across space. He was effectively immortal, having lived since the time of ancient Egypt, his body preserved by Osiran science and energy manipulation. His energy-based powers gave him the ability to project destructive force capable of annihilating entire worlds, though these were suppressed by his imprisonment. Even restrained, his mental abilities were enough to paralyze the Doctor and exert control over machinery and servants, illustrating his nature as an Osiran god of destruction (Episode: Pyramids of Mars)
Sutekh possessed such immense power that the Fourth Doctor feared that not even the Time Lords could stop him if he was in possession of his full powers. (Episode: Pyramids of Mars)
