History
Jack Spicer received an antique wooden puzzle box as a gift, which inadvertently released the disembodied spirit of the ancient Heylin witch Wuya into the modern world. Seeking to regain her physical form and conquer Earth, Wuya guided the self-proclaimed evil boy genius to locate the Mantis Flip Coin, a hidden mystical artifact capable of granting its user superhuman agility and flipping capabilities. Concurrently, the small dragon Dojo sensed the artifact's sudden awakening, prompting Master Fung to deploy the newly assembled team of Xiaolin trainees—Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, and Clay—to a remote mountain valley to secure the item. Jack Spicer arrived at the location utilizing his mechanized heli-pack and intercepted the object at the exact same moment as Omi, which automatically triggered a specialized, high-stakes magical duel known as a Xiaolin Showdown. The challenge materialized a localized, altered terrain where both combatants raced across high stone pillars using their martial arts skills to claim the prize. Omi successfully outmanoeuvred Jack Spicer's high-tech gadgets, seized the active coin first, and brought the ancient power object safely back to the Xiaolin Temple, marking the definitive first modern recovery of a Shen Gong Wu. Master Fung distributed the temple's recovered mystical inventory to his trainees to prepare them for an active mission, allocating the Mantis Flip Coin to Raimundo Pedrosa, the Two-Ton Tunic to Kimiko Tohomiko, and the Eye of Dashi to Clay Bailey. Guided by Dojo, the Xiaolin monks traveled directly to the French countryside where the next active magical artifact, the Fist of Tebigong, had officially revealed itself. Concurrently, Jack Spicer utilized a separate ancient relic, the Third-Arm Sash, to recruit an elite mime named Le Mime to intercept the team. Upon arriving at the activation site, Le Mime successfully isolated Clay and trapped Omi, Kimiko, and Raimundo inside an impenetrable invisible box, forcing Clay to independently track down the artifact. Clay easily bypassed the obstacle by manipulating Le Mime into knocking himself unconscious before declaring a formal Xiaolin Showdown against Jack Spicer for legal possession of the object. Fighting on a highly volatile, shifting rock terrain, Clay leveraged his slow, patient martial arts strategy to completely outmanoeuvre Jack's tech gadgets and claim the Fist of Tebigong, securing the high-powered golden metallic glove for the Xiaolin Temple.
