Biography
Raneem Rashad was a female human born to Jordanian immigrants in the U.S. on Earth. Her parents realized she had special powers from a young age and would often ask her to fix machines when they broke. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3)
Her mother's death during her youth drove her to work hard to succeed in the technological department, and her father later convinced her to apply to Brooklyn Visions Academy. There were only about 40 spots available and more than 700 people applied, so there was a lottery to decide who would be accepted into the school; the last spot ended up going to Miles Morales, leaving Raneem out of the school. The years passed and her resentment for Miles only grew. After finding out he was the new Spider-Man, Raneem decided to finally take matters into her own hands and make him her first victim in her path to get justice. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3)

Personality and attributes
Raneem was a person who had been forged by her struggles, hardships and loneliness. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3) She had said that people had been underestimated her for her entire life and they had come to regret it. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #2)
Her ability to communicate with machines from a young age meant that she never felt the need to connect with people. Instead, she preferred talking to machines making her somewhat oblivious to the struggles of the people around her. Machines were calming to her as they did not judge but simply listened to her. To her, if there was a problem with them then she could take them apart and fix them. It was this reason why she liked machines more than people. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3)
She came to be oblivious to her parents struggles until her mother died of an undiagnosed illness. Seeing her father mourning and changing from depression, she dedicated herself to working hard and helping people with her gift, but after being declined from Brooklyn Visions Academy, losing the spot to Miles Morales, she developed an intense hatred of him, vowing to make him pay for ‘stealing’ her dreams and developing an obsession over him. Her parents met one another in Amman in Jordan. After marrying, they decided to gamble on a dream and moved to Brooklyn in the U.S. Her father referred to Raneem as his greatest gift. They would work to provide for their daughter and that she did not have a care in the world with life being good. However, the death of her mother impacted the family greatly with her 'Baba' never being the same afterwards with the 'light' gone from his eyes. This simply made Raneem want to work harder as she endeavoured to 'fix' her father. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3)
Powers and abilities
It was shown that she was fluent in both English and Arabic. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3)
She was able to vocally communicate with machines and influence them into doing what she wants. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #3) It was shown that she could use this to disrupt the equipment of her enemies causing it to fail. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #2)
In the field, she wore a suit that hid her features from others. It included the ability to project holograms. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #2)
Rashad came to use drones extensively out in the field. This included as transportation where she often rode on top of a disc-like drone with others accompanying her. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #2)
She could command them to engage in various actions to support her. This included activating Support Protocol to get them to protect her from enemies. (Miles Morales: Spider-Man v2 #2)
