Biography

Patience Phillips

Phillips worked as a graphic designer for Hedare Cosmetics in Gotham City. She arrived late to her office and navigated through a crowded workspace while carrying a large portfolio. During an interaction with her manager, George Hedare, she stood silently while he critiqued her latest ad campaign for the 'Beau-line' skin cream. She attempted to retrieve a fallen piece of artwork from the floor and subsequently exited the room to revise her sketches. Later, she was seen in her apartment, which she shared with a roommate, where she painted on a canvas and interacted with a stray cat on her balcony. She also visited a local coffee shop where she stood in line and engaged in a brief conversation with Detective Tom Lone after he retrieved a dropped item for her. Following this, she returned to the Hedare headquarters after hours to deliver updated designs, where she walked through the shipping docks and observed a conversation through a vent in the research and development wing.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Patience Phillips was a female human of African descent with an athletic build, brown skin, and dark brown eyes. She had short, dark hair styled in a natural, textured crop. During her initial appearance, she wore a pair of dark-rimmed rectangular spectacles. Her professional attire consisted of a layered ensemble including a dark, button-up cardigan over a light-coloured collared shirt, paired with dark trousers and flat shoes. She carried a large black artist's portfolio and a shoulder bag. Her physical movements were characterised by a slight slouch and a hurried gait while navigating her workplace.

Patience was a subservient and diffident employee who prioritised professional compliance over her own personal interests. She exhibited a timid and apologetic temperament, frequently stammering or lowering her gaze when confronted by her superiors or assertive coworkers. Her behaviour was characterised by a lack of assertiveness, as she allowed others to interrupt her and accepted harsh criticism of her creative work without offering a verbal defence. This passive nature was further demonstrated through her clumsy physical mannerisms, as she frequently dropped items or stumbled in high-pressure social environments. Despite this outward hesitation, she displayed a diligent work ethic, returning to her office late at night to rectify perceived mistakes and complete her design assignments under strict deadlines.
