Biography
Don Robertson was a male human who was born in the modern age where he came to work as a scientist in Charter City with him under the employ of Rook Unlimited. This led to him working with its CEO namely the brilliant Jonathan Rook.
When Stretch Armstrong, Omni-Mass, and Wingspan confronted him, he used his duplication powers to overwhelm them with sheer numbers, surrounding the heroes in a coordinated assault. He created smaller versions of himself that attacked from multiple directions, forcing the team to fight on all fronts. Though the Flex Fighters eventually regrouped and managed to defeat him through combined strategy, Multi-Farious escaped, making it clear that he intended to refine his powers for future encounters. (Episode: Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters)
In a later clash, Multi-Farious confronted the team while they were investigating a lead on Mayhem’s operations. This time, he exploited his power more tactically, splitting into different forms to target each member of the Flex Fighters’ unique weaknesses. One of his duplicates grappled with Stretch Armstrong’s elongated body, another distracted Wingspan by forcing him into close-range combat, while a third clone kept Omni-Mass pinned down. His ability to coordinate multiple versions of himself nearly succeeded in splitting the team apart, but the Flex Fighters adapted by luring his clones into confined spaces where his splitting ability was less effective. They defeated him by overloading his body with strain, forcing his duplicates to collapse back into a single form. (Episode: Lie Sandwich)
Later, Multi-Farious escalated his vendetta by joining forces with other Flex Fighter villains under Mayhem’s direction. During this larger operation, he served as the spearhead of an ambush, using his multiplying bodies to create chaos across the city and tie down emergency responders while other villains pursued their objectives. In this confrontation, Multi-Farious demonstrated that his clones could act semi-independently, executing simultaneous attacks in different parts of the battlefield. Despite his overwhelming numbers, the Flex Fighters exploited the clones’ shared vulnerability—once the original was injured, all duplicates destabilized. Stretch Armstrong personally incapacitated the original body in a high-risk move, ending the fight and scattering the remaining duplicates. (Episode: Masters of Order)
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Multi-Farious was originally an ordinary male human who became a mutated, monstrous figure whose body constantly shifted between grotesque forms. His flesh appeared unstable, with the ability to peel away and reform into separate versions of himself. Each duplicate retained the same hulking, misshapen appearance, with jagged features and exaggerated musculature. The constant splitting and merging of his body gave him a disturbing, fluid-like aesthetic that highlighted the horror of his mutation. After his mutation, he became a large monstrous granite-like being who went by the name of Multi-Farious. (Episode: Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters)
Before his mutation, he had been intelligent and manipulative, but after transforming into Multi-Farious, he developed a cruel and unstable personality. He was vengeful, constantly blaming others for his condition, and seemed to revel in using his power to torment and overwhelm his enemies. His fractured mind mirrored his body, as his duplicates sometimes argued or competed with each other mid-battle, showcasing his instability. This made him both dangerous and unpredictable, as he was willing to throw himself into reckless strategies for the sake of dominance. (Episode: Lie Sandwich)
Jonathan Rook described Robertson as being scatter-brained and way uptight.
After being cured, he ended his enmity with the Flex Fighters and even thanked them for their help.
Powers and abilities
Originally, Robertson was an ordinary human being with no inherent special abilities. By adulthood, he came to be noted to had become a scientist. In this time, he came to serve as a scientist and employee of Rook Unlimited.
Multi-Farious’s primary power was duplication, allowing him to split into multiple independent versions of himself. These duplicates shared his strength, durability, and combat ability, enabling him to swarm opponents or fight on multiple fronts at once. His superhuman strength and resilience made each clone a threat, but his abilities came with a limitation: all duplicates were tied to his core body. Damage to the original form destabilized all copies, making him vulnerable to concentrated attacks. Additionally, his cloning ability taxed his body when pushed too far, creating moments of weakness when overextended. (Episode: Masters of Order)
Contact with Flexarium came to completely change him where it mutated his body. Exposure resulted in his transformation into a granite monster that had could multiply at will. His body was able to split itself apart with each component retaining an aspect of his personality and a will of its own.
