Biography
Maha Yogi
Posing as the legendary wizard Merlin, he emerged from an ancient stone sarcophagus located within a hidden crypt after centuries of suspended animation. He navigated to a nearby military facility where he utilized his mental powers to infiltrate the secured area and observe a scheduled missile launch. He exerted telepathic influence over the base personnel, attempting to take control of the weapon system to demonstrate his perceived superiority over modern technology. When Thor intervened, Gath (as Merlin) engaged in a series of mystical and mental maneuvers, including the animation of inanimate objects like the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial to act as his guardians. He utilized levitation and teleportation to evade physical strikes while projecting powerful illusions to disorient his opponent. Ultimately, his concentration was broken when he was outmaneuvered by Thor, leading to his retreat and his eventual return to a state of temporary dormancy after his plans for global influence were thwarted.
