Lucifer
For a long time, his people had sought to the inconsequential world of Earth as it was a stepping stone to other galaxies and universes of greater interest to them. (X-Men v1 #20)

Personality and attributes
Among his own people, he was given the code name of Agent One. Meanwhile, on Earth, he came to take the name of Lucifer for himself. (X-Men v1 #20)
He believed that only the strong were meant to rule and that his people were the strong. (X-Men v1 #20)
It was said that he desired what all life wanted which was to propagate and spread unchecked until he became the dominant force on the planet and assured of his continued existence. (Astonishing X-Men Annual v2 #1)
Powers and abilities
A parasitic alien, he did not actually possess people but rather merged his essence with them and literally became his host. (Astonishing X-Men Annual v2 #1)
He was capable of wielding ionic energy that had been mastered by his star-spawned race. Lucifer had refined its use where he could expertly wield it to the point that he could sent it forth like a whip of sheer force or become a pulsing bombarding tide capable of ripping a man apart. The ionic energy could form a protective mantle around him to shield him from weapon fire. (Iron Man v1 #20)
It was shown that he was able to merge his essence with another being where he could operate through their bodies and they gained access to Lucifer's great power. (Iron Man v1 #20)
As a herald of his people, he operated as their agent in the conquest of worlds and reported his findings to the Supreme One. (X-Men v1 #20)
