Biography
Lei Wulong (Chinese: 雷武龍 Léi Wǔlóng; Japanese: レイ・ウーロン Rei Ūron; It may be written with given name first as Wulong Lei) was a male human born in the modern age. By adulthood, he came to be a respected police officer and put countless criminals in prison.
Lei’s partner was killed when a fight involving himself and a contract killer targeting Bruce Irvin broke out on a plane, causing it to crash. Lei picked up where his partner left off on their investigation into the International Mafia’s money laundering activities and discovered that the organization had connections to Kazuya Mishima of the Mishima Zaibatsu, even deploying an accountant to deliver documents to Kazuya on the doomed plane Lei's partner was killed on. Lei entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 to confront Kazuya about the Zaibatsu’s Mafia connections. During the tournament, he defeated Bruce, who had been taken in by the Mishima Zaibatsu. After the tournament, Bruce was involved in another plane crash reported to have killed all onboard; however, Lei suspected that the Mishima Zaibatsu had staged the supposed accident, and that Bruce had survived. He did not investigate the matter further, instead returning to his usual work. Lei was placed on an investigation into the Hong Kong drug trade, during which time he discovered that an International Police Organization officer, Bryan Fury, had connections with drug dealers.
Overview
Personality and attributes
Due to his reputation, he came to be referred to by the nickname of Super Police.
A man who lives for his job. Dedicated to the point of obsession, Lei is a law-abiding and gifted cop. Lei is a workaholic, who becomes fixated on his cases and on tenaciously seeing them through to the end at all costs. In the past, this has earned him a reputation as a 'supercop' and the best detective in the agency, but it has also destroyed some of his relationships, most noticably with his girlfriend. Despite this, Lei's solution has always been to throw himself back into his work. Whilst Lei usually works large cases related to international crime syndicates, he is also a stickler for the rules and goes out of his way to prevent minor crimes from happening in his vicinity, with some of his endings depicting him stopping street thieves or handing out parking tickets.
