Klaatu
An Washington D.C., the United States Army and Air Force detected the unidentified object (UFO) flying at breakneck speed. They report on radio and television, and panic breaks out among citizens when a ship lands in a park. From inside the ship emerges an anthropomorphic figure dressed in metallic-looking clothing, and behind him comes a three-meter-tall robot named Gort,. The soldiers, alerted to the encounter, arm themselves and prepare for a possible attack by the alien. The situation becomes tense when the visitor makes movements with an object similar to a revolver, being wounded by a nervous soldier. This entails that the robot begins to destroy the weapons of the humans with an optical beam. As soon as the visitor recovers, he stops his robot, and in perfect English, points out that the suspicious object is a planetary exploration probe and requests to speak to world leaders, introducing himself as Klaatu. The alien is taken to a nearby hospital, where he is thoroughly examined, turning out to be exactly the same as a human. Klaatu meets with the President's secretary, Mr. Harley, and reveals that he has a message that everyone on Earth must hear. Sadly, Harley observes that world leaders cannot even agree on a meeting place for this occasion. When Klaatu suggests living among the people to get to know them better, Harley informs him that he is in protective custody, in other words, a prisoner. Klaatu manages to escape from the hospital, and since no one recognizes him, he moves freely through Washington DC, using the alias of Mr. Carpenter, the name of the laundry from which he had stolen the suit he was wearing, until he reached a simple hotel. . He is accepted, and befriends the son of a widow named Helen Benson (Patricia Neal) who lives in the house. The boy, named Bobby, is about eight or ten years old, and had lost his father in World War II. One day when Bobby's mother goes out to dinner with her boyfriend Tom Stevens, Bobby and Klaatu take a walk around town and visit the home of a very famous mathematical genius, Professor Jacob Barnhardt.
Reboot
Klaatu awakened in the snowy heights of the Himalayas, walking forward into daylight as the remnants of an alien sphere dissolved behind him. His body, constructed using human genetic material gleaned from a 1928 mountaineer, appeared fully formed. Though his origins were alien, embodied in this human form, his senses took in the planet’s environment, signaling the beginning of his mission. He moved purposefully down the mountain, traversing harsh terrain until reaching a town. There, he entered the local community with methodical calm, offering nothing but silent presence. His infiltration into human space began without conflict—observant, non-threatening, he sought to understand the nature of those he was tasked to evaluate. Captured by fearful humans and transported to a high-security facility, Klaatu allowed the probing and examination of his biological form. Surgical attempts failed to harm him, and he revealed the placenta-like material underlying his appearance, a living biosuit that granted him both physical protection and healing. He rebounded swiftly from the operation, using biotechnology to restore his body and standing resolute in Washington’s sterile corridors. Within this crucible of human suspicion, he offered a message of planetary significance—but the narrow minds of political custodians rejected it outright. Confronted by their inability to act together for the planet, Klaatu concluded that understanding could not be brokered through alien logic alone. Escaping captivity with the unexpected aid of Helen Benson, Klaatu slipped into city streets alongside her and her young son, Jacob. Their nervous steps took them through Washington’s core as Klaatu gained familiarity with humanity—its curiosity, its distractions, its emotional disarray. He acquired a disguise under the name "John Carpenter," using acquired DNA-coded clothing to blend in. Though alien at his core, he walked as a man, silent and observant, yet ever aware of his greater purpose—to save Earth from itself. His footsteps carried him from hospital mazes to quiet walks with a boy at a mirror-lined park, giving him access to innocence. As they passed beyond the surface of conversation, humanity whispered itself into his mission. Klaatu’s contact with Mr. Wu, another alien long embedded among humanity, deepened his evaluation. Where Wu professed love born from years of observation, Klaatu replied with cold logic: love would not save the Earth from its self-destruction. Kuiring the planet’s relentless assault on nature, he concluded that the human species must be removed to preserve the greater biosphere. Consequently, he issued orders to arc-like spheres already buried across the Earth to begin gathering the planet’s remaining animal life forms for preservation. In executing this plan, he performed a solemn logic-based act—one rooted in environmental imperative.
Overview
Personality and attributes
Upon his arrival on earth, Klaatu has a strange anthropomorphic appearance, this is due to the fact that what he is wearing is a kind of spatial biosuit, in addition it serves as a placenta so that an organism can develop inside; The appearance of the growing organism would depend on the appearance of the intelligent species that inhabits the visited planet. After being shot, this bleeding is taken to a medical center where it is seen that the body has already developed almost completely, showing a acceptable human appearance of a man 30 years of age or older, doctors take a sample of the tissue that appears from said body that appears to have a texture similar to a very thick jelly and conclude that said "placenta" biosuit contains three models different from DNA which would imply a very advanced genetic engineering, in addition Klaatu has the ability to reason and understand arithmetic, physical problems, and abstract human concepts. Also, he knows English and possibly other languages perfectly.
