Jiro Murakoshi

Jiro Murakoshi was a two-fisted Interpol agent who was old friends with marine biologist Akira Ichinose (the two had been roommates in college), and he had the chance to work alongside his friend during the second appearance of Mechagodzilla and his creators, the Black Hole aliens. Initially, Murakoshi was simply trying to track down Dr. Shinji Mafune to ask him some questions regarding Titanosaurus, but in the process he and Ichinose stumbled onto the aliens' evil plans, and Murakoshi was tasked by Chief Tagawa with finding their hidden base. He rescued the captive crew of the Akatsuki and shot and killed Dr. Mafune and later pursued the alien leader Mugaru to the edge of a cliff, where Mugaru defiantly leapt to his apparent death.
