History
The House of Tagge was a house of Imperial nobles of the Tagge family. Members included Orman Tagge and his two brothers, Ulric Tagge and Silas Tagge, and their sister Domina Tagge.
The family was represented by General Cassio Tagge who operated within the high command of the Galactic Empire aboard the Death Star. General Tagge expressed tactical concerns regarding the vulnerability of the station to a concentrated starfighter attack and the danger posed by the Rebel Alliance's possession of the station's technical schematics. During a meeting of the Imperial staff, he argued with Admiral Motti concerning the reliability of the station's defense systems and the strategic implications of the Emperor's decision to dissolve the Imperial Senate. Tagge advocated for increased military vigilance and warned that the Rebellion was gaining enough data to find a weakness in the station's armor. He observed the demonstration of Lord Vader’s Force abilities during the meeting but remained focused on the logistical and structural security of the Imperial military assets. Following these discussions, he remained on the station as it moved to intercept the Rebel base at Yavin 4, maintaining his role as a high-ranking military adjutant to Grand Moff Tarkin and providing assessments on the fleet's defensive posture.
Orman was the baron of the House until his death at the hands of Luke Skywalker, whereupon Ulric became the new baron.
Overview
In appearance, the House of Tagge were a powerful and wealthy noble family of the Galactic Empire who controlled Tagge Industries, one of the largest corporate conglomerates in the galaxy. They were characterized by their immense industrial influence, maintaining a private army and a vast fleet of starships that rivalled the Imperial military in scale and technological sophistication. The family was led by Baron Orman Tagge, who frequently wore a distinctive high-collared uniform and utilized a cybernetic vision enhancement device over his eyes. The house was composed of several brothers, including Silas, a scientist, and Ulric, an officer within the Imperial Army, as well as General Cassio Tagge, who held a senior position in the Imperial High Command. Their operations were centered on the Tagge family estate and their corporate headquarters, from which they managed diverse interests in mining, manufacturing, and weapons development. The house members were often seen in formal Imperial or aristocratic attire, reflecting their dual status as corporate magnates and high-ranking servants of the Emperor. They were defined by their pursuit of technological dominance, specifically through the development of experimental superweapons and the maintenance of a massive logistics network that spanned multiple star systems.
