Biography
Franklin Nelson was the older son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Nelson with him later having a younger blonde haired sister named Candace Nelson. (Daredevil v1 #108) Franklin's mother was a woman by the name of Rosalind Sharpe who never wanted to have children but she was pregnant and gave birth to her son but she abandoned him. His parents divorced with his father marrying again with his second wife being Anna Nelson who Foggy saw as a mother. (Daredevil v1 #360) He had a turbulent relationship with his sister with her last time speaking to him around six to seven years ago. This was because she began to see her brother as being part of the corrupt establishment and City Hall whilst she saw herself as a crusading journalist. (Daredevil v1 #113)
Whilst in college, he met Debbie Harris who became his girlfriend during these years. (Daredevil v1 #11)
After graduating, Matt and Foggy opened up a private law practice Nelson and Murdock. They hired a secretary named Karen Page who Foggy developed a crush on. Unbeknownst to Foggy Matt decided to avenge his father by taken up the costumed identity of "Daredevil". He worried about his friend during this tough time. (Daredevil v1 #1) One of their earliest clients was the Fantastic Four, Foggy helped regarding the lease on the Baxter Building. (Daredevil v1 #2) Leland Owlsley was taken to court over tax fraud, and so he hired Nelson & Murdock to represent him. But after some investigation they learn of his true nature and had him arrested. (Daredevil v1 #3) Their next client was Zebediah Killgrave who kidnapped Karen. (Daredevil v1 #5) Foggy and his friends went to a wax museum to see the new Daredevil exhibit. But they notice Ox and the Eel he tried to investigate but was injured in a fight between Daredevil and the villains. In hospital Matt protected his friend from the Fellowship. He avenged Foggy, just in time to witness him come to. (Daredevil v1 #6) Another client was Namor who came for legal aid to stop the surface world from harming the sea. (Daredevil v1 #7) Foggy next client was Wilbur Day, a former employee of Kaxton Laboratories, where he invented hydraulic lifts which his boss Carl Kaxton had stolen the patents. (Daredevil v1 #8) Foggy met with a former exchange student from their post-secondary days named Klaus Kruger who is the Duke of Lichtenbad. Who recommended an Eye clinic in his own country to Matt, to which he visited, but was revealed to be a trap. Foggy never found out what happened and assumed that Matt chickened out at the last moment. (Daredevil v1 #9)

At the gathering, he introduced Matt Murdock and Karen Page to a wealthy, respected political candidate named Abner Jonas, as well as his own former junior high school sweetheart, Deborah Harris, who had recently re-entered his life. When an animal-themed criminal known as Frog Man violently disrupted the cruise by severing the yacht's power and communication lines, Foggy Nelson witnessed Daredevil arrive to fight off the threat. Despite the terrifying criminal encounter, Foggy Nelson steadfastly continued his public campaign for the district attorney office under the guidance of the Reform Party, completely unaware that Abner Jonas was secretly a masked criminal mastermind known as The Organizer who was actively manipulating the election to gain control of the city administration. (Daredevil v1 #10) He continued his political pursuit of the district attorney office under the banner of the Reform Party, unaware that his former sweetheart Deborah Harris was working with their political handlers. When Abner Jonas, the secret identity of the villainous mastermind known as the Organizer, had Deborah Harris captured by his animal-themed mercenaries, the Ani-Men, Daredevil directly intervened to rescue her and ultimately exposed the entire criminal conspiracy to the public. With The Organizer completely defeated and unmasked, Foggy Nelson’s campaign reached a successful resolution when he was officially appointed as the new District Attorney of New York City. However, the intense political chaos took a severe financial and emotional toll on the law practice of Nelson and Murdock, which had fallen drastically behind on its office rent. This compounding professional crisis prompted Matt Murdock to abruptly take an extended leave of absence, leaving Foggy Nelson to contemplate the potential closure of their joint legal firm. While Foggy Nelson frantically navigated the localized terror of the abduction, Daredevil tracked down the rampaging brute but was ultimately knocked unconscious and maliciously framed for the prison break by the antagonist. Although the real Ox—trapped inside the doctor's enfeebled body—unexpectedly neutralized the scientist to save Karen Page, Foggy Nelson’s extreme stress over his missing law partner only deepened when the villainous Dr. Stragg ultimately fell to his death from a building during a final confrontation with the vigilante. Nelson and Murdock were later hired by Reed Richards to help his friend Robert Reynolds who had surrendered himself after believing he had killed his wife. The pair travelled to the Raft prison with Foggy being highly nervous at the number of supervillains present at the site. Whilst making their way to Reynolds cell, the prison lost power leading to a massive supervillain breakout. Among the prisoners released was Carnage who was looking to kill Foggy and his friends. Daredevil pushed Foggy into Sentry's cell in the hope that he would be safe there. Whilst there, Foggy begged the Sentry for his help in saving his friends with his words convincing Reynolds who disposed of Carnage. (New Avengers v1 #2)
