Biography
Falco Lombardi (Japanese: ファルコ・ランバルディ, Hepburn: Faruko Ranbarudi)
Lombardi was a key member of the Star Fox team, serving as the group’s ace pilot and one of its most daring combatants. A native of the planet Corneria, Falco had a reputation as a gifted but reckless flyer even before joining Star Fox. His early life was marked by a rebellious streak that led him to associate with several racing and mercenary groups, including the Space Dynamics gang, where he honed his piloting skills and gained notoriety for his bold maneuvers. Despite his arrogance, Falco’s unmatched aerial talent eventually caught the attention of Fox McCloud, who recruited him into the Star Fox team. Though initially skeptical of teamwork, Falco quickly became one of Fox’s most dependable allies in the Lylat Wars, using his unmatched skill in the cockpit to protect the team from overwhelming odds.
During the Lylat Wars, Falco proved instrumental in the campaign against Andross and his forces. Piloting his Arwing fighter, he demonstrated exceptional reflexes and precision, often taking on enemy squadrons single-handedly. His sharp instincts and daring tactics frequently saved the team during dogfights, earning him a reputation as both a showoff and a hero. Despite his brash attitude and sarcastic remarks toward Fox and the others, Falco’s loyalty to the team never faltered when it mattered most. He was known to challenge Fox’s leadership but ultimately respected him as a commander and friend, the two sharing a bond forged through countless battles across the Lylat System.
When the Star Fox team was called to Corneria by General Pepper, Falco remarked at the surprising level of destruction. Falco helped Fox out by leading him towards the true leader of the Venomian Army's attack, the Attack Carrier. Falco helped his teammates throughout several missions until they came to Fichina. There, Star Fox was attacked by their rival team, Star Wolf. Falco was targeted by Leon Powalski, whom he shared a personal rivalry with. Falco managed to defeat Leon as Fox diffused a bomb set to destroy a Cornerian base. On Zoness, Star Fox ran into Falco's old ally, Katt Monroe. Despite Katt's assistance, Falco tried his best to drive her off. After the mission on Zoness, Katt flew off and Falco attempted to contact her to find out where she had gone. Falco and the rest of Star Fox continued on their way until they finally came to Venom. Falco and the team flew through Area 6 and was able to make it to Andross's base. There, they were attacked by Star Wolf in advanced ships. Falco still managed to defeat Leon and Fox flew into Andross's lair to defeat him. After Andross's defeat, Falco and the rest of Star Fox returned to Corneria to collect their reward.
Sometime afterwards, Falco left Star Fox to fly solo, due to both a lack of jobs and his restless nature. He ended up teaming up with Katt Monroe and her gang on Titania to investigate suspicious goings-on, and later teamed up with Fox to take down General Shears and his attempt to clone Andross. After this incident, he left both to wander the galaxy, and see where life took him. Shortly after Andross's resurrection on Sauria, Falco returned to save Fox during the final battle. Falco helped Fox by supplying him with Smart Bombs during the battle. Falco returned to the Great Fox asked to rejoin the team, to which Fox agreed. When Krystal came aboard the ship and Fox showed obvious signs of his feeling, Falco said nothing, but silently encouraged him.
Falco played a major role during the Lylat Wars. He was horrified by the damage done to Corneria City. He also said with shock that Andross was insane when he saw the bio-weapon Vulcain. After the fight with Spyborg, he was annoyed that they had to rescue Slippy. At Titania he again received help from Fox and provided backup. After they rescued Slippy, he remarked that they always have 'to save his hide'. At Zoness he was angered that they polluted the planet. He was surprised that Katt had come to help, saying 'Katt, what are you doing here?'. After they destroyed the Sarumarine he noticed that Katt was missing. At Fichina and Bolse he fought with Leon of Star Wolf again and defeated him. At the Battle of Venom he again defeated Leon, and was ordered by Fox to stay while he fought Andross. When Fox came back he admitted that Fox did good. He was then seen going to the reward ceremony, and looked as if he wasn't paying attention to General Pepper. He was then seen, along with the rest of the team, to be seen running back to the Great Fox. Four years after the wars the Star Fox Team had been involved in many different missions rounding up the remaining Venomian Army. Falco had been getting bored with them as they weren't as exciting as they're previous missions. Falco started to get more uncooperative than ever and it got even worse as he began to get into fights with Fox for entertainment. It is unknown if they did any other missions in this 4 year time period.
