Eye of Michael (Trigun)

The Eye of Michael is a cult that features in Trigun.

History

The Eye of Michael was an ecclesiastical order of assassins founded by the church and who operated on No Man's Land located in the Delta Trianguli star system. They came to revere Million Knives and offered him assassins in order to accomplish his goals.

The Gung-Ho-Guns (ガンホーガンズ, Ganhōganzu) were a group of assassins assembled by Knives and led by Legato to cause great pain to Vash. Each Gung-Ho-Gun has an assigned number, but not all numbers were revealed. Their objective was to participate in Legato's 'killing game' as a means to torment Vash. He has them each carry half a coin and gives Vash a case to hold them, telling him that something 'special' will come from it. The filled coin case functions as a device to block Legato's powers.

Overview

In appearance, the Eye of Michael were a cult that worshipped Knives and provided him with assassins. Members take titles reflective of their guns. Not much is known about the origins of the group.

Full members are modified to drastically increase their physical strength and speed beyond human limits and to gain advanced regeneration supplemented by drug vials for extreme wounds. However, the modifications cause members to age at an accelerated pace. In addition, members are trained to continuously analyze opponents and adapt to situations, such that the same tricks will never work twice.

The Punisher was a large cross-shaped gun wielded by only the best in the order. It had a machine gun in the front and a rocket launcher in the back. The side arms contain the ammunition.

The order has a special drug that allows them to regenerate from fatal wounds. The side effect of this drug is that it ages the user. Overdosing in the drug can cause death.

• Nicholas D. Wolfwood :
• Chapel (チャペル, Chaperu?) : one of the leading members of the Eye of Michael, an organization of assassins founded by a church that worships Plants. His true name was never given, and he was only ever identified by his title 'Chapel' or as Master C. He is the one who trained Nicholas the Punisher, Livio the Double Fang, and Razlo the Tri-Punisher of Death.
• Livio : the Double Fang was the childhood friend of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, a disciple of Chapel and a member of the Gung-Ho-Guns from the Eye of Michael. Livio had an alter known as Razlo the Tri-Punisher of Death, who was treated as a separate member of the Gung-Ho Guns.
