Biography

Meeting En Sabah Nur in All-New X-Men v2 #10.

Evan Sabahnur was a male Mutant clone of En Sabah Nur. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #7) He was created when a prior clone of the villain was killed by Fantomex on behalf of X-Force when they went to eliminate Apocalypse. Despite his death, genetic samples were saved by Fantomex and the clone was created in The World laboratory that was a shrunken portable facility. Within his pod, he went through a simulation where he came to believe he was born on a farm in Kansas with him cared for by his loving parents with regular visits from his ‘Uncle Cluster’. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #18) He was raised virtually on a small farm in the fields of Kansas by human parents that were hardworking and golden-hearted people. When he was 11 years old, his uncle ‘Cluster’ came and learnt of the boys powers and began to train him in secrecy in their use in order to become a superhero. Evan during this time was completely unaware of his true origins. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #19)

With Apocalypse dead, Warren Worthington, who had become the Horseman of Death Archangel, ascended to replace him. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #10)

As a last-ditch effort to defeat Archangel and save the world, Fantomex unleashed En Sabah Nur. In the life simulation the World provided, he had been raised as Evan, a good person and a hero. Calling himself Genesis, he tried his best to defeat Archangel, providing the opportunity for Psylocke to attack him with a Life Seed. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #18) With his early release, Fantomex decided that Evan needed an education as his ‘training’ had been interrupted. Thus, it as decided to send him to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning in order for him to get a proper education and learn to use his powers responsibly. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #19) Whilst at the school, people noted his appearance with a number of students bullying him leading to him not being happy there for a time. When Deathlok came as a guest to Kitty Pryde's lecture and told some of the students part of their future. He foresaw a dark future for Evan, in which he killed Krakoa and became Apocalypse. Deathlok told him to find out who he was for himself. He also told Logan that Evan's potential for greatness was immeasurable and he would be either their most magnificent savior or trod upon their graves and that his fate rested entirely in Logan's hands. (Wolverine and the X-Men v1 #4) In a biology lecture which was taken inside Toad's body, Evan came across DNA believing that everything that made man was in there, only to be corrected by Beast that a person was more than the sum of his Genes. After the lecture, Evan seemed to be troubled and was asked by Idie if he was all right to which he answered that he was troubled by the biology lesson and many things and he felt that his life was much simpler before he came to the Jean Grey school. When the alarm was activated by Beast he moved with the other students to the safe rooms. (Wolverine and the X-Men v1 #5)
