Biography
Dr. Psychobos
Dr. Psychobos was a sadistic, highly narcissistic alien mad scientist and a mutated member of the crustacean-like Cerebrocrustacean species from the planet Encephalonus IV. Driven by an intense jealousy and hatred for the Galvan race, he harboured a fierce personal rivalry with their smartest thinker, Azmuth, and sought to prove that Cerebrocrustaceans were the true dominant intellect of the universe. To accomplish this, Psychobos aligned himself with the intergalactic huntsman Khyber and the rogue cybernetic entity Malware to build the Nemetrix, a predatory counterpart to the Omnitrix. Operating from a hidden base, he orchestrated a plot to track Ben Tennyson and gather DNA from the galaxy's most dangerous predators to fuel his new device, first presenting himself via hologram to coordinate his alliance and oversee the capture of his prime targets.
He came to approach Malware with an offer to make a superior version of the Omnitrix if the latter could bring him the device for study. Malware accepted the deal, eventually bringing Dr. Psychobos a crude, corrupted, and incomplete blueprint of the original Omnitrix. From this template, Dr. Psychobos created the Nemetrix. However, it lacked the DNA samples that gave it its power, so he hired Khyber to collect DNA samples of the most savage of the universe's predators. Once that was done, the next phase was to test it, collecting prisoners from the Null Void, such as Phil Billings, to serve as guinea pigs. During this time, the trio learned that only a non-sapient creature can safely use the device, ultimately attaching it to Zed. Khyber subsequently spent the next five years studying Ben to hunt him and acquire the Omnitrix for his business partners, for which Dr. Psychobos grew greatly annoyed.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Dr. Psychobos was a short, stubby, and physically asymmetric extraterrestrial creature who possessed a dark purple carapace that transitioned into a lighter shade across his lower face and underbelly. He had a massive, disproportionately large head adorned with long, prominent white-blue eyebrows and a matching mustache, alongside three vertical spikes lining each side of his cranium and pink eyes. His body featured an uneven pair of arms, with his right claw being quite small and standard, while his left claw was monstrously large, spiny, and shaped like a lobster's pincer. His skull consisted of two hard carapace plates that could split open to expose his large pinkish brain, which he had cybernetically augmented with a central, trident-shaped device and two smaller lateral machines. A distinct geometric symbol was embedded on the center of his forehead, aligning directly with his cybernetic brain implants.
He was shown as possessing a dislike for the Galvan race and believed that they had a superiority complex. Dr. Psychobos came to believe that his own species the Cerebrocrustaceans were smarter than the Galvans. He also looked to prove that he was far superior to Azimuth who he thought as a dullard and as an imbecile.
When working for Empress Attea, Dr. Psychobos has a clear dislike for her due to her bratty, vulgar, and impatient attitude, making several sarcastic remarks to her, and even at one point trying to attack her with an electrified blade/wrench-like tool, only to have it be swatted out of his claw, prompting him to snivel and beg for forgiveness.
Dr. Psychobos has a persistent stutter, often ends his sentences with "...and I use the term loosely," usually as a means of belittling the subject, and insists that he always be addressed as Dr. Psychobos.
Dr. Psychobos would team up with any villain, any time.
Powers and abilities
Dr. Psychobos was a member of the Cerebrocrustacean species who possessed all the natural traits of his species. A Cerebrocrustacean's cranium holds an immense brain, giving them super-massive intelligence that is too high to be measured on a human scale.
Psychobos possessed an extraordinary level of super-intelligence that allowed him to conceptualize complex technology, speak in highly elevated diction, and reverse-engineer biological devices to create the Nemetrix. He possessed a high degree of electrokinesis, which enabled him to generate and manipulate potent electrical currents directly from his body. By focusing this energy through the unique crest symbol on his forehead, he could discharge concentrated blasts of purple electricity to strike opponents or erect durable, defensive electric force fields. His control over electrokinesis furthermore granted him the secondary ability to levitate his own form using electromagnetic forces. Additionally, his aquatic physiology provided him with enhanced bodily durability, the physical strength to hold his own in combat, and the native ability to scale vertical surfaces and breathe seamlessly underwater.
He was able to fire purple coloured electricity from the symbol on his head. By using his electrokinesis, Dr. Psychobos can fire purple electricity from the symbol on his head. He has built a machine and put it on his brain to increase his powers. Using his electrokinesis, Dr. Psychobos can use telekinesis.
