History

A Reaper Demon.

The Demons were an ancient and powerful force that originate from the fiery realm of Hell where the Dark Wills have devoured countless civilizations since the dawn of time. According to the Origins of Evil, the Demons were made when the Creator blessed the nothingness ofspace with life. The Demons were the antitheis of life and the embodiment of evil. Among the shadow's thrall exist the Dark Wills that seek to consume countless billions in orer to end the sickening aspect of lifethat they abhor. As such, they command the ever starvig and seemingly inexhaustable Darkness that ravages world without an conscience. Those civilizations that fall to them have a part of their power given to the vast legions as a reward. Furthermore, the Burn purges whole worlds of life and supplies the unnatural birthplace of fire with nourishment which propels the Darkness forward to destroy new worlds again and again.

The tales of these creatures came to the attention of Earth in the early eras where rituals and traditions sought to ensure that they never invaded the planet. However, the development of modern civilization meant that these ancient teachings were forgotten and in the early part of the 21st century, the barrier between worlds collapsed allowing the Burn to begin on Earth. Humanity were ill prepared for the invasion and a few desperate nation only managed to slow the demonic tide through biological weapons but found quickly that the creatures were near invulnerable to ordinary weaponry. Humanity would have been extinct if not for the early planning of the Freemasons and other ancient sects that created underground shelters as well as weapons to fight the demons. Now the scattered remnants of a broken Humanity fight to survive against the forces of Hell.

The head of the forces of evil is a being known only as the First who's desire it to undo the actions of the Creator and is te polar opposite of all that is good. He is the end of all beginnings that seeks t bring death to life.

Underneath them lie the governors known as the Dark Wills who ae masters of greater demons. These generals plan and execute the Burn leading the corruption of consumption of worlds under the iron fist of the First and the Eldest. A single Dark Will often accompanies a caste of demons during a purge of a world.

The lowest command rank within the Shadow's armies are the Greater Demons who have become lash masters after attaining an identity.

Beneath them lie the hordes of nameless demons each of which are divided into different castes.

Beasts

The Beasts are the lowest caste and form of life that exist in Hell which are naturally occuring type of creatus of the Underworld who have been made evil by their surroundings as well as their masters. They are seen as nothing more then fodder by Primus Demons who subjugate them and send the Beasts into battle. They are unintelligent with their primary form of combat being the use of their fangs and claws in melee attacks. While the smaller Beast forms are vulnerable to most forms of damage, the older ones are stronger far larger with some towering over buildings. Some employ demonic abilities such as fiery attacks or corrosic poisons to kill their prey while others mke use of tough hides or smaller wiry forms to protect themselves against enemies.

Although they are an impressive sight as well a powerful in terms of strength and stamina they are somewhat sluggish in their movements. They are also far from intelligent which makes tactics and distance a potent weapon against these demons.

These demons often swarm their enemies in partially organized packs that use their weight in numbers to overcome their enemies. Their forms are weak and decaying making them vulnerable to damage. Their undead nature shows during combat as even when dispatched, some of the Necros caste are capable of rising once again unless appropriate measures are taken. The masters of the Necros aremore powerful which means that they are often targeted for elimination.
