Biography

Dan Hibiki (Japanese: 火引 弾, Hepburn: Hibiki Dan)

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Dan Hibiki was a human male of mixed Japanese and Hong Kong heritage with a muscular, highly trained physical frame, measuring 177 centimetres in height and weighing 74 kilograms. He possessed dark brown eyes and long brown hair tied tightly back into a single prominent ponytail. His signature combat uniform consisted of a bright pink traditional karate gi top and matching pink trousers, worn over a plain black, sleeveless athletic undershirt. A dark brown martial arts belt was secured tightly around his waist, and he remained entirely barefoot during combat engagements.

Powers and abilities

Dan Hibiki was born a member of the human race and possessed a peak-human physical physiology. He was a self-taught martial arts innovator who successfully synthesized standard Ansatsuken principles with selective combative components to invent his own custom fighting style, which he officially designated as Saikyo-ryu. His internal energy manipulation allowed him to channel spiritual energy to execute specialized chi attacks, including a short-range, single-handed plasma burst known as the Gadoken, an ascending vertical strike called the Koryuken, and a multi-hit airborne assault named the Dankukyaku. His combative methodology integrated distinct, continuous tactical psychological maneuvers, utilizing specialized infinite combat taunts to intentionally mock opponents while rapidly generating his own internal physical momentum.
