- In Judge Dredd, the Cursed Earth appeared in the setting of the 1997 live-action film. It was mentioned in the opening text that after the 2080s that much of the Earth had become an uninhabitable wasteland with pockets of people managing to survive in these areas that were known as the Cursed Earth.
