History
A Constrictus was a predatory oceanic life form that dwelled on the alien world of Mer.
The Pirate lord Bloth captured a massive, subterranean crawling monstrosity known as the Constrictus and secured it inside the flooded bilge sewers of his leviathan-bone warship, the Maelstrom. Bloth utilized the creature as his primary execution asset to eliminate prisoners and insubordinate crewmen. During a routine interrogation, Bloth discovered that the newly captured youth Ren was the biological son of his long-term captive King Primus. After Ren defiantly refused to reveal the location of the First Treasure of Rule, Bloth grabbed the prince and dumped him directly into the open Constrictus pit. The multi-headed worm creature surfaced from the muck, deploying its main fanged maw and long, extendable inner-cable jaws to ambush Ren, who barely evaded the initial snapping attack by climbing up the skeletal walls of the pit.
When Ren was poisoned by the sting of a Constrictus, Avagon used a Dreen to heal the wound.
During a high-stakes maritime pursuit across the open waters of Mer, Captain Bloth cornered the rogue Wraith star-vessel and captured the monkey-bird Niddler. Seeking to extract information regarding Ren's search for the Treasures of Rule, Bloth threatened to tie Niddler to a heavy rope and lower him directly into the Constrictus pit to be slowly dismantled. The terrifying threat of the creature's poisonous fangs and multi-jawed maw completely broke the creature's resolve, prompting Niddler to agree to serve as a double-agent to track Ren's movements. Later, when the Maelstrom suffered a severe structural failure during a massive coastal storm, the shifting water levels flooded the bilge mains, allowing the Constrictus to thrash violently within its containment grates, which generated heavy localized vibrations that threatened to tear the warship's bottom hull plating apart before the bilge gates could be manually re-secured.
Overview
The creature resembled a massive red skinned worm or leech which possessed three long tentacles equipped with a barb on the end and a long tail with a stringer on its edge. It possessed a massive four toothed maw which opened allowing for three secondary mouths to extend in order to devour prey.
