Biography
Cassiopeia Du Couteau was the youngest daughter of General Marcus Du Couteau and Soreana Du Couteau of Noxus in Runeterra where she had an older sister named Katarina and an adopted brother named Talon. Her status meant that she lived a life of privilege amongst the Noxian noble houses where she displayed a keen mind and sharp wit from an early age. This led to her following in her mother Soreana's footsteps whilst her sister Katarina flourished under the tutelage of their father. Around this time, General Du Couteau was regarded as a hero for his expansion into Shurima and he came to send for his family where he installed them close to the governor of the coastal city of Urzeris. Within an unfamiliar land, Cassiopeia stayed close to her mother where she learnt much about the arts of politics, diplomacy and influence. She provede to be an exceptionally gifted pupil who possessed a natural elegance and a sharp, calculating mind. Her mother taught her that beauty and grace were not merely aesthetic qualities but strategic weapons to be used for the advancement of their family's influence. During this period, she spent her days navigating the high-society circles of Noxus, where she used her refined charm to extract secrets from rivals and manipulate the city’s elite, all while maintaining the facade of a dutiful and sophisticated daughter. Following her formal education, Cassiopeia transitioned from a protected noble daughter into a high-stakes operative within the prestigious circles of the Noxian capital. She utilized the refined social graces her mother had instilled in her to infiltrate the upper echelons of power, where she functioned as a master of intelligence who operated with clinical precision. Her life shifted dramatically when her mother, Soreana, survived a brutal assassination attempt and subsequently initiated her into the Black Rose, a clandestine cabal that had secretly manipulated the empire for centuries. During this period, Cassiopeia abandoned the pretences of mere high-society art and diplomacy to become a cold and calculating agent for the organization, eventually assuming leadership of expeditions into the Shuriman wastes. She spent years scouring the desert for ancient relics to bolster the cabal's influence, driven by a desperate need to secure the family's standing after the rise of Jericho Swain threatened their traditional power.

She was once noted as the youngest and most beautiful daughter of the noble Du Couteau family of Noxus. After her transformation, she came to be known as the Serpent's Embrace that recognised her new nature.

Through Shuriman magic, she came to be transformed into a serpentine creature with superhuman abilities.
