Biography
Bleez was a female inhabitant of the planet Havania where she was born a member of the royal family thus making her a princess of her world. Whilst growing up, she came to be a narcissistic and arrogant person renowned for her great beauty. Many men sought her hand, but she rejected them all, often in an extremely rude and abrasive manner. Two of her suitors, especially humiliated, sought out a Sinestro Corpsman and tempted him with stories of Bleez's beauty. He went to Havania where he murdered Bleez's mother and captured Bleez, taking her to Ranx the Sentient City. During the events of the Sinestro Corps War, Bleez came to be raped and tortured by members of the Sinestro Corps. However, she managed to escape when Ranx came under attack during the Battle of Mogo. The Sinestro Corpsman who had originally abducted her pursued and caught her where he forced her to kiss him. As she was being pushed to her limits by this final indignity, a red ring Power Ring found Bleez and inducted her into the Red Lantern Corps. Her blood was transformed into burning plasma, and she vomited it into the Corpsman's throat. Before he could recover, she killed him in a blind fury where she joined the ranks of the Red Lanterns. (Blackest Night: Tales of the Corps v1 #2) The feral Bleez was among the Red Lantern strike force that ambushed the Green Lantern Corps who were transporting Sinestro back to Korugar for execution. (Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns v1 #1) During the Blackest Night, Bleez and the Red Lantern Corps fought along side with the others Corps against the Black Lantern Anti-Monitor. (Green Lantern Corps v2 #46)
Red Lanterns
Bleez was tasked with finding and recovering a red power ring that had mysteriously abandoned its bearer. (Green Lantern: New Guardians v1 #1) This assignment led her to confront Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, who had been chosen by the wayward ring as its new bearer. Subsequently, Bleez, along with representatives of the other Lantern Corps that included Arkillo, Saint Walker, Fatality, Munk, and Glomulus where they tracked Rayner to Oa, intending to take back the stolen Red Lantern ring. All four of the Lanterns including Bleez agreed that Rayner was responsible for this irregularity and attacked the Green Lantern, however the Star Sapphire 'Fatality' stopped Yellow Lantern Arkillo, Bleez, and Indigo Tribe Member Munk from attacking Rayner as she believed there was a peaceful answer to the situation. Before Bleez could retrieve the ring Saint Walker of the Blue Lantern's appeared and helped Rayner escape. Bleez and the other Lanterns then followed Rayner and Walker to Oa, home planet of the Green Lantern Corps. (Green Lantern: New Guardians v1 #2) Upon entering Oa space Walker told the group that Rayner was on the service trying to figure out was happening with the Guardians of the Universe, hearing this Bleez rushed down to the service and with the other lanterns burst into the Guardian's chamber. As it turns out the Guardians had turned on Rayner and Rayner had put all the rings on, however the power of all the rings was too much for him and all the rings had broken except for the Green Power Ring and the Orange Power Ring. The Orange Ring had then revealed itself to be an Sentient Orange construct called Glomulus. The team then helped Rayner fight the Guardians but were overwhelmed until Larfleeze and his pet Guardian Sayd showed up. (Green Lantern: New Guardians v1 #3) The team, dubbed the 'New Guardians' helped Larfleeze battle the Guardians and Munk teleported the whole group to Okaara. Saint Walker then attempted to cure Bleez but she fled back to Ysmault. (Green Lantern: New Guardians v1 #4)
Upon returning to Ysmault Atrocitus was dissatisfied by Bleez's work, in need of at least one intelligent Lantern to be his advisor he threw Bleez into the Blood Ocean. Within the ocean neurons inside Bleez's mind opened giving her back her intelligence and memories. Some time later she emerged from the ocean with her mind restored. However Bleez was traumatized as she was made to remember what had happened to her, and what the Lantern did to her. Realizing she had little use in this state Atrocitus brought Bleez to her home planet of Havania. (Red Lanterns v1 #3)
