Years later, he was within the city when he spied a fight between the Harpy and the Hulk. Bi-Beast came to capture the pair after being reminded of his former Avian masters after seeing the winged Harpy. After fighting the Hulk, the Green Goliath came to revert to his human form of Bruce Banner where the android came to learn that he was a scientist. In Banner, Bi-Beast sensed an opportunity to have the scientist help repair the Avian city that continued to decline due to a lack of maintenance. In this time, the Bi-Beast received a new visitor in the form of M.O.D.O.K. who revealed that the android had made a mistake in trusting Banner with the city's technology. This saw the machine attempted to stop them but this encounter saw the human scientist become the Hulk leading to a fight between the pair. Their battle was interrupted by M.O.D.O.K. using a weapon where he then intended to claim the Bird-People city and its technology. The Bi-Beast looked to stop them but was fatally injured by the supervillain scientist though had managed to trigger a self-destruct to prevent the city from falling into the hands of A.I.M. Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Bi-Beast was a male-gendered avian-android hybrid who possessed a unique and towering physical structure. His most prominent feature was his dual-headed physiology, which consisted of two distinct, orange-skinned faces stacked vertically on a single neck. Both faces featured small, beady eyes, flat noses, and wide mouths filled with blunt teeth, while the upper head was topped with a shock of white hair. His body type was massive and hulking, characterized by an exceptionally broad chest, thick shoulders, and heavily muscled limbs that dwarfed an average human. His skin was a bright orange hue across his entire frame, and his hands were large with thick, powerful fingers. He wore a simple costume consisting of a dark blue sleeveless tunic that covered his torso, cinched at the waist by a wide, decorative gold belt with a circular buckle. His lower body was clad in matching dark blue trunks, leaving his muscular legs and large, bare feet exposed. He also wore thick gold bands or bracers around his wrists and upper arms, which served as his only ornaments. (Incredible Hulk v1 #169)
Both faces were known to speak to one another where they referred to the other as being their 'skull-brother'. (Incredible Hulk v1 #169)
He looked to protect the city of the Bird-People and was prepared to give his life for the task. One of the heads longed to find a being that resembled their creator. (Incredible Hulk v1 #169)
Powers and abilities
The Bi-Beast was an artificial android created by the advanced science of the Bird-People. He was built as a repository of their accumulated wisdom where one of his heads possessed what little knowledge they had on warfare whilst the other had cultural wisdom. Neither though had any comprehension of science thus preventing him from being capable of making any repairs. (Incredible Hulk v1 #169)
Bi-Beast demonstrated the capacity for extreme superhuman strength, allowing him to engage in physical combat with powerful adversaries and lift immense weights with ease. He possessed a high degree of physical durability, enabling him to withstand significant kinetic force and direct impacts from high-powered attacks without sustaining injury. The entity exhibited a dual-layered cognitive capability, as each of his two heads contained a distinct and specialized knowledge base; one head possessed a comprehensive mastery of advanced technology and mechanical engineering, while the other held an exhaustive understanding of historical warfare and military strategy. This dual intelligence allowed him to operate and maintain highly sophisticated machinery, including orbital weapon systems and advanced laboratory equipment. He displayed proficiency in hand-to-hand combat, utilizing his massive physical size and multi-faceted tactical awareness to dominate opponents. Additionally, Bi-Beast showed the ability to navigate and manage complex subterranean or extra-terrestrial facilities, demonstrating the technical skill required to oversee large-scale scientific and military operations independently.
