Biography
Origin
Astrotrain was a Decepticon (Destron) Triple Changer, capable of becoming a space shuttle or a locomotive.

Astrotrain often served as a transport for the other Decepticons. Astrotrain and Blitzwing once collaborated with Starscream to overthrow Megatron. However, Starscream was trapped with Megatron, and the two Triple Changers factionalized the Decepticons. Megatron soon re-emerged to take command back.

Astrotrain was a subordinate of Ratbat, sent to Earth to set up Ratbat's Wash N' Roll plan.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Astrotrain was a male-gendered Cybertronian who possessed a large, blocky robotic physiology designed for heavy-duty transportation. His face was framed by a dark, bucket-style helmet and featured a purple-toned metallic visor that served as his eyes, positioned above a silver faceplate that covered his nose and mouth area. His head was flanked by two tall, vertical protrusions that integrated into his transformation housing. His body type was massive and powerful, characterized by a thick, squared-off torso and wide, heavy-set shoulders that accommodated his large wings. His limbs were thick and segmented, with his forearms and lower legs showing visible mechanical detail from his alternate modes, such as wheels and thruster components. He did not wear clothing, as his outer plating functioned as his permanent exterior, primarily coloured in shades of dark purple, grey, and black. His chest featured a prominent, angled purple plate, and his back was dominated by a large set of wings and a stabilizer fin that remained visible in his humanoid form. Large, circular thruster ports were situated on his feet and back, and his hands were blocky and metallic, designed to grip heavy weaponry.
