Biography
Antonio Rodriguez
Feeling rejected by the world, Rodriguez was angry at everyone which was when he was approached by Baron Zemo who was recruiting people for his new Hydra High sect. In exchange for his help, Hydra offered to remove the suit he was bonded to and make him human once again. Upon accepting, he joined Hydra where Helmut Zemo intended to use a newly activated Inhuman's blood to sterilise the world except for the loyal Hydra members who were provided the cure. Antonio was sent to guard a decoy site for one of the bombs that was designed to lead heroes to a false location. In this time, the Hydra operation was discovered by the new Captain America Sam Wilson who encountered the Armadillo leading to a battle between the pair. Cobra intervened in the fight where he managed to capture the new Captain America with Wilson appealing to Rodrigeuz's inner nature. This led to Armadillo betraying Cobra and siding with Captain America in stopping the detonation of the other bombs. (All-New Captain America v1 #4)

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Antonio Rodriguez was a towering, colossally broad monster who stood an imposing seven feet six inches tall and weighed an incredible five hundred and seventy pounds. Following his forced genetic mutation, his baseline human anatomy dissolved into a grotesque, part-human and part-animal hybrid that seamlessly mirrored his mammalian namesake. His entire physical frame—including his broad shoulders, back, and limbs—was enveloped in a thick, multi-layered hide of bulletproof, orange-and-brown armored plates. He possessed thick, stumpy lower legs designed to support his immense weight, a completely hairless head with an enlarged brow ridge, and small dark eyes. Completely rejecting traditional supervillain capes, colorful spandex uniforms, or sleek espionage tactical gear, his signature battle wardrobe was purely biological. He moved onto the battlefield essentially bare, leaving his massive, clawed hands and reinforced armor plating fully exposed to project pure physical intimidation against his targets. Antonio Rodriguez possessed an extraordinary array of superhuman durability, superhuman physical strength, and specialized tunneling attributes derived entirely from his hybrid physiology. His primary defensive asset on the battlefield was his hardened armor-plated hide, which acted as a flawless natural buffer capable of easily withstanding small-arms gunfire, light anti-tank ballistic weaponry, and extreme temperatures without sustaining internal injuries. The dense muscle fibers along his skeletal framework granted him immense physical leverage, enabling him to lift up to twenty-five tons and easily smash through reinforced structural barriers with his bare hands. His hands and feet terminated in a set of massive, razor-sharp elongated claws that he handled with absolute mechanical precision, granting him the unique tactical capability to shred concrete defenses and dig through solid earth at high velocity. Furthermore, his flexible spine allowed him to curl his entire mass into a tight, armored ball to initiate devastating rolling attacks that could flatten an opponent's defensive guard.
