Biography
Adrian Fahrenheit Țepeș (Japanese: アドリアン・ファーレンハイツ・ツェペシュ, Hepburn: Adorian Fārenhaitsu Tsepeshu) was born a dhampir as the son of the vampire king Dracula and his second wife who was a human woman named Lisa (リサ Risa?).
In 1797, due to the unexpected lack of a Belmont, Alucard had no choice but to awaken from his slumber to investigate the matter and infiltrate Dracula's Castle. He discovered Richter Belmont had been seduced by evil and was controlling the castle. With the help of Richter's kin, Maria Renard, they were able to find out the truth: the dark priest Shaft was controlling Richter and wanted to raise Dracula from the dead. After releasing Richter from Shaft's control, Alucard entered an upside down version of Dracula's Castle, with more powerful enemies, and confronted Shaft. Having defeated Shaft, Alucard discovered that his efforts were in vain, as Shaft's plan had come to fruition regardless. He defeated his father in single combat once more and sent him back to the grave, though Dracula did show a spark of humanity after Alucard told him Lisa's last words: that mankind should be left in peace and that she would always love him. He then planned to put himself back at rest but Maria, who had developed a strong attraction to him, set out to convince him to stay.
One year after defeating his father, an incubus named Magnus attempted to convince Alucard to return to the side of evil. Alucard resisted Magnus' efforts and aided Maria, Richter, Cyril and Alexis in their fight against Magnus. Magnus revealed to Maria Alucard's history of consuming human blood, including his turning of Lyudmil, his old servant, into a vampire. When questioned by Maria, Alucard did not deny these accusations. Lyudmil was manipulated by Magnus into fighting Alucard.
Nearly 100 years after defeating his father for the second time, Alucard joins forces with several other hunters to take him down a third time.
Galamoth plots to send the Time Reaper from 10,000 years in the future into the past to destroy his rival Dracula and change history. A man named Aeon discovers this and pulls together champions from different eras of history into a dimensional rift, in order to find a chosen one capable of destroying Galamoth's servant, the Time Reaper with Alucard being one of these warriors.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Alucard was a tall, lean figure with strikingly aristocratic features, pale skin, and flowing blond or silver hair. His attire combines gothic nobility with warrior practicality—long cloaks, ornate vests, and high boots that emphasize his regal vampiric heritage. Later on, he was often seen wearing a long black-and-gold coat with silver armor trimmings, carrying his iconic sword. By the modern age, he came to adopt the identity of a dark-haired government agent named Genya Arikado (有角 幻也, Arikado Gen'ya).
Alucard embodied restraint, melancholy, and a quiet nobility. Unlike his father, he shows compassion toward humans, guided by his mother’s influence and his moral conviction to prevent suffering. His mannerisms are calm, formal, and deliberate, contrasting with the wrath and theatricality of Dracula. However, beneath his stoicism lies deep loneliness, guilt over his heritage, and the burden of constantly opposing his father. This internal conflict makes him both a tragic and heroic figure.
It was said that he sought the defeat of his father so that his mother's soul might find peace.
Powers and abilities
He was born as a dhampir where he was the child of the unnatural bond between his vampire father and human mother. Thus, Adrian had special powers that made him stronger than a any human but not as strong as his father. As a result of his vampire heritage, he had keen senses that included a superior sense of smell. With it, he was able to discern a person's heritage and clan connection simply through the scent of their blood.
His speed was unnaturally fast where he was shown to be quicker than a bullet in both his human and wolf form.
Part of his natural abilities allowed him to change his shape where he could adopt the form of animals such as wolf, bat or even become mist.
Alucard had received training in dark magic from his father who personally taught him certain spells. This led to him becoming familiar in many types of magic with his power being at at least ½ of Dracula's.
It was shown that his weapon of choice was his single-handed sword that was a family heirloom from his mothers side.
He could equip a vast arsenal of weapons and relics, but his most iconic ability was channeling vampiric magic through his swordplay and spells such as Hellfire and Dark Metamorphosis. His hybrid nature also grants him resilience against weaknesses that plague pure vampires, such as sunlight and holy artifacts, though he still bears the weight of his cursed lineage.
