In other media

Television

  • In Transformers Animated, the Allspark appeared in the setting of the animated television series. It was a spherical blue crystal housed within an ornate metallic casket, serving as the mystical source of all Cybertronian life for billions of years. Historically, the Autobots safeguarded the artifact until the Great War, when Optimus Prime’s predecessor launched it into a space bridge to keep it out of Megatron's reach. Millions of years later, a lowly space bridge repair crew led by Optimus Prime accidentally rediscovered it inside an asteroid, an event that immediately drew a Decepticon warship to their location. During the ensuing battle, the AllSpark autonomously activated a space bridge, transporting both ships to Earth's vicinity, where the Autobots eventually crashed into Lake Erie and entered stasis for fifty years. Upon their awakening in futuristic Detroit, the artifact 'chose' a young girl named Sari Sumdac, transforming her security card into the AllSpark Key, a powerful tool capable of healing Transformers and upgrading technology.
