History
The Agents of Atlas
Thee tactical unit attempted to raid a temple belonging to the Foundation but suffered a complete tactical failure. Following this event, Jimmy Woo was recovered in a critically aged and debilitated state, prompting the reassembly of his former 1950s associates. The Human Robot M-11 successfully infiltrated a high-security medical facility and utilized an advanced energy beam to restore Woo to his physical prime. Once rejuvenated, Woo and the Robot located Gorilla-Man Ken Hale in a remote jungle and recruited him to rejoin the group. The team subsequently tracked Marvel Boy Robert Grayson to his hidden lunar sanctuary and convinced him to provide technological support and transportation via his Uranian spacecraft. During their reconnaissance, they identified the Foundation as a modern front for the ancient criminal empire of the Yellow Claw and initiated a series of calculated strikes against the organization’s logistics. The members engaged in high-speed aerial combat to intercept Foundation transport vessels and utilized Marvel Boy’s telepathic arrays to extract intelligence from captured personnel. By the conclusion of these actions, the group had secured a primary mobile base of operations and established a new mission protocol to dismantle the Foundation’s global influence through proactive sabotage and psychological warfare. Whilst training young Asian superheroes, the world came under attack from the Dark Council as part of the War of the Realms. This saw the horde of Fire Demons invading Asia as they sought to claim the continent as part of New Muspelheim. Jimmy Woo then assembled a new incarnation of the Agents of Atlas that gathered various Asian superheroes looking to oppose the invaders with them arriving at the scene at Seoul. Overview
In appearance, the Agents of Atlas were a team of clandestine operatives that functioned as a revitalised, independent intelligence and strike unit. The group operated with a high degree of tactical formality and mutual trust, led by a rejuvenated Jimmy Woo who maintained the disciplined protocols of a federal agent. Their primary goals and objectives were centered on the systematic dismantling of the Atlas Foundation, a global criminal empire led by the Yellow Claw, and the recovery of lost or suppressed historical records regarding their own 1950s activities. They acted as a covert cell, dedicated to using unconventional methods and advanced technology to sabotage the Foundation's infrastructure and intercept its logistical operations. Regarding their clothing and costumes, the members wore varied attire that reflected their unique origins and physical requirements. Jimmy Woo transitioned from a standard hospital gown to a classic, functional business suit and trench coat, maintaining a professional aesthetic. Gorilla-Man wore a simple, durable harness over his simian form, designed to carry heavy weaponry and survival gear, while the Robot remained in its unadorned, metallic cylindrical chassis. Marvel Boy utilized a sleek, white and silver Uranian bodysuit featuring a high collar and a starburst emblem, integrated with his golden Quantum Bands. These garments and physical forms highlighted the group's nature as an assembly of relics from a previous era, updated with modern tactical utility to operate in the contemporary world. The personnel of the Agents of Atlas demonstrated a specialized combination of advanced robotics, extraterrestrial technology, and peak physical conditioning during their reassembly and initial mission. One member, a sentient mechanical entity, exhibited the ability to interface with complex security systems, project concentrated energy beams capable of molecular reconstruction, and deploy telescopic appendages for grappling and structural breaching. Another operative displayed the physiology of a mountain gorilla, providing him with superhuman muscular strength, enhanced agility, and the durability to survive extreme jungle environments while retaining the ability to operate human-scale firearms and tactical equipment. A third member utilized Uranian technology through a pair of golden armlets, which granted him the capacity for supersonic flight, the projection of solar energy blasts, and the generation of hardened light constructs. This individual also employed powerful telepathic abilities to communicate across interplanetary distances and mask the presence of large spacecraft from standard radar detection. The team leader, once physically restored to his prime, exhibited elite hand-to-hand combat proficiency and master-level strategic planning based on decades of federal law enforcement training. Together, these skills allowed the group to bypass S.H.I.E.L.D. security protocols and engage in high-speed aerial maneuvers to intercept fortified transport vessels. (Agents of Atlas v1 #1)
