- Ace Chemicals was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm where it made its first appearance in Detective Comics v1 #168 (February 1951).

- In Gotham, Ace Chemicals made an appearance in the second season in the episode "A Dead Man Feels No Cold". It was responsible for the liquid helium that was being used by Dr. Victor Fries to power his machinery.

- In Suicide Squad, Ace Chemicals was shown in the DC Extended Universe in the live-action movie. It was shown in flash backs when the Joker took Dr. Harleen Quinzel there after she had fallen in love with him. He convinced her to fall into a vat of chemicals and then rescued her with the event causing her skin to be bleached white.
