Biography
Ivysaur, Pokemon #2, is the evolved form of Bulbasaur. It looks like Bulbasaur, but it is slightly larger and its bulb has begun to bloom. Ivysaurs have very few differences from the Bulbasaur, except an ability to accelerate plant growth and being stronger in all respects. Ivysaurs eventually evolve into Venusaur.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Ivysaur was a quadrupedal reptilian creature that possessed the combined biological features of a dinosaur and a plant. He possessed a stout, quadrupedal body covered in a light blue-green skin tone, which featured various dark green, patch-like spots scattered across its torso and limbs. The head was wide with a broad snout, containing a mouth lined with small, sharp fangs, and two large, triangular eyes with red irises and white pupils. Ivysaur walked on four thick legs, each terminating in three short, clawed toes. Permanently attached to the center of its dorsal back area was a large, tightly closed pink flower bud, which was supported and surrounded by four broad, dark green leaves that extended outwards from the base of the plant structure. He did not wear any garments or uniforms, remaining entirely in a natural biological state.
Powers and abilities
Ivysaur was born a member of the Pokémon race where he was a member of the Grass/Poison-type species. On a basic feats level, this hybrid physiology granted him the unique ability to absorb and utilize solar energy through the growing plant bud situated on its back. The Pokemon possessed the capability to manipulate plant matter, allowing it to rapidly extend two long, flexible vines from its back beneath the bud to grasp objects, lift heavy weights, or strike targets in physical combat.
Additionally, he could release localized powders and energy attacks native to its species. As a result of evolving, Ivysaurs physical leg strength was significantly enhanced to support the increased weight of the blossoming bud, though this weight temporarily restricted its ability to stand purely on its hind legs compared to its previous evolutionary form.
